Rock University Summer Seminar
Saturday, August 5, 2017
8:30AM-12:30PM
FREE Event — please RSVP online so we can plan for food & childcare

Our faith is not confined to Sunday morning or a mid-week prayer group. Our faith should influence every area of our life. Whether we are aware of it or not, culture constantly seeks to shape our values and influence our views about the world. We must be thoughtful about our faith so that we can stand firm in the winds of culture and also be agents of influence for the kingdom of God.

Join us as apologist Brett Kunkle explains why our worldview matters for every area of our life and addresses two specific topics: sex and affluence.

Brett works for Stand to Reason as the Student Impact Director. He will speak directly to the challenges that culture presents and how we can respond as Christians.

Please RSVP online so we can plan for food and childcare.

Seminar Schedule:
8:30AM – Arrival: Coffee & Snacks provided
9:00AM – Session One
10:30AM – Break: Coffee & Snacks provided
11:00AM – Session Two

Men’s Monthly Leadership Study
First Tuesday of the Month
Next Meeting: August 1st (Off on July 4th)
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
@ TRCC upstairs in Room 210
Men, join us for a monthly study where we get to know a different man of the Bible each month.

For August, we will look at the life of Samuel in the Old Testament. Samuel faithfully served God in a pivotal period of history when the nation of Israel transitioned from the time of judges to the rule of kings. Please join us on August 1st to see what we can learn from Samuel’s remarkable leadership. Key verse: 1 Samuel 3:10 “Then the Lord came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”

Questions, contact Pastor Dave Briggs at davidb@trcclive.org.
