What's new in Get Involved

**UPDATE: Deadlines & Packing Party have been moved to March 25 to allow more time to gather the remaining items needed.

Consider partnering with the Honduras Missions Team and sending them with items that will help open the door for conversations about Jesus Christ. Thank you for keeping the team in prayer during their trip March 30-April 7, 2018.

Sponsor a Child:

On your own, with a friend, or with your community group, pick a child at the Didasko Children’s Home in Honduras to sponsor with a care package! Select a child to sponsor and sign up at the Honduras stand in the TRCC lobby. Didasko is one of the missions organizations that TRCC supports and that the Honduras team will visit and minister to on their trip. Choose no more than three of the following items to include in your sponsorship care package:

  1. A pair of shoes
  2. A shirt or blouse
  3. Pants or a dress/skirt

Please also include a note or Bible verse of encouragement. We have just SEVEN out of 33 children still in need of sponsorship. Drop your sponsorship care package off at the Info Center table in a plastic bag with the name of your sponsored child and your note of encouragement/Bible verse on it no later than Sunday, March 25.

Donate Supplies for Mother-Baby/Pediatric Care Packages:

Sign up for any amount of an item listed below: email or stop by the Honduras stand or the Info Center table during Weekend Services to sign up. The list below will be updated regularly, so check here before purchasing.

Teaching His truth to His people
Rock University offers a wide array of adult education classes throughout the year. Each class teaches men and women to view God’s world through the perspective of God’s Word. We believe the Bible has much to say about all aspects of our lives. Our goal is to help each other live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God (Colossians 1:10).

Spring Session — Sundays Beginning February 4

Mission Trip to Honduras
March 30 – April 7, 2018

The Rock is taking a team of servants to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for a week to connect with local missionaries to support their work of meeting the needs of the poor in the name of Jesus. We’ll work with homeless teens, an urban housing ministry, and an orphanage.

Team Leaders: Ryan & Angela Polk
Ryan, Angela, and their 2 teenage sons, Patrick and Mitchell, have been serving in Honduras annually since 2013. They have formed relationships with local missionaries who lead the team in a mixture of worship, work, fellowship and fun. The 2018 trip will be the fifth organized and led by the Polks to Honduras.

Applications: Available here and at the Info Center. Application deadline is January 14th.

Please contact Angela Polk at 317-523-3203, Ryan Polk at 317-910-0838, or Dave Rechnitzer at 714-686-9596 with questions about the trip.

Baptism is an outward expression of an inward identification with Jesus Christ. Our next baptism class is Sunday, April 8, at 9:00 am in Room 205. The baptism class will teach the scriptural basis for baptism.

Baptism is open to adults and children (age 7 and older). For children attending the class, we ask that a parent/guardian attend with the child. If you or your child are interested in being baptized, please RSVP to Christina Gramenz at

Pastor Mark will officiate the baptism held on the following week, Sunday, April 15, at 2:30 pm at a home in Yorba Linda. Baptism is open to adults and children (age 7 and older) who attend the baptism class, and the whole church is invited to attend!

Parents, if your child has asked questions about baptism, we encourage you to attend the class together and then decide whether or not your child is ready for the baptism.

Baptisms are held twice a year, in April and October, so if you can’t make this one, there will be another chance to participate or attend later in the year.
