Our Goal

Our goal in Children’s Ministry at The Rock is to come alongside families and children to help them KNOW Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, to GROW in their understanding of Jesus Christ and His grace, to SERVE their Lord and His church from a willing and joyful heart, and to SEND young Christ-followers into their communities to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to the glory of God.

The Values that
Guide Our Ministry

SAFETY

The safety of all children at RockCC is our number one priority. In addition to a secure check-in process, every children's ministry volunteer undergoes a background check and screening process before serving. We follow established policies and procedures to ensure safety and security.

FAMILY

We work together with parents to help teach their children Biblical truth. Our goal is to partner with families by giving them resources to spark a conversation that will help develop life-long disciples of Jesus in the context of the church and the home.

COMMUNITY / RELATIONSHIPS

We encourage volunteers to serve the same service in the same classroom consistently. This helps to create an environment that will allow you to develop deeper relationships with children and fellow team members. At RockCC, we believe that actual life change happens in the context of spiritually authentic relationships. We prioritize community to create opportunities to belong, grow, and live our lives in a way that honors God.

BIBLICALLY CENTERED

Everything we do at RockCC is centered around the Word of God. This also includes what we do in our Children’s Ministry every time we meet. Your kids will be immersed in the Word of God at every opportunity.

FUN!

Teaching children the love of Jesus through the Word of God in a safe and secure environment is our primary focus, but you can also expect to see and hear a lot of worship, games, and laughter! It is a big win for us when children leave church and ask their parents when they can return.

Memory Verses

"You don’t have to spend hours writing out the verses you want to memorize. Consider this a shorthand Bible Memory method! You CAN teach your family God’s Word when you sit in your house, walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise (Deut. 6:4-9). Think of it as Biblical meditation, which is repeating God’s Word throughout your day no matter where you are or what you’re doing. My goal is to help your family have God’s Word written on their hearts through song!

This is where getting a song “stuck” in your head is actually a great thing. By playing these songs at home or on your drives throughout the week, you’re helping strengthen your family’s memory muscles, which is equipping them for the battle over Truth!
